Abbatial
Hall

|
This
room houses the series of portraits that Miguel Cabrera (ca.
1695–1768) realized for the Collegiate Church. They depict
important figures in Guadalupan history, such as Pope Benedict XIV,
King Ferdinand VI of Spain, Fray Juan de Zumárraga and Juan
Diego.
To
add to the ambience, part of the Museum’s collection of applied
arts is displayed in this room, including furniture, porcelain,
clocks and tapestries of European manufacture. These objects combine
a utilitarian function with an aesthetic form, making them unique
pieces of great value.
